INCOMING

Incoming is a small sister piece to my Rainbow Rocket: a 10-colour screen print that imagines a UFO flooding a black-and-white world with colour. Its rainbow beam brings life to a dead landscape, and when the lights go out that burst of colour disappears, leaving only the UFO and stars glowing in the dark as if the craft is still hovering overhead. Printed by hand on 250gsm card, each layer is laid down separately — and the slight, intentional mis-registration is a nod to the way old sci-fi comics were produced, making every print unique in its own way.
